The Brightness competition is a non-profit event open to both amateur and professional artists from any country. The aim is to give artists the ultimate platform to develop their passion and career in the illustration sector. Finalists will benefit from exhibiting, and showcasing their work to art critics and art directors. Our aim at Brightness Magazine is to promote your art, and not to own it. You will continue to own all rights to your work. We are simply looking for you to grant us the rights to feature your art and promote you as an artist. Think of this as an exciting collaboration with other artists and a great way of creating a global cooperative movement in the illustration industry.

With over 450 creative featured, Cluster London Fairs has formed a community of practitioners, which it supports through a programe of monthly gatherings, career support, one-on-one development sessions, talks, seminars and workshops, as well as the opportunity to take part in an ongoing series of curated projects and more. Cluster is more than a fair; it is a joint venture, a share journey, creative safe house and exercise in community building.
Extending its roots and opportunities, last year’s launched Cluster Artist-in-Residence programme aims to provide a tailored experience with a broad network of opportunities to counter the ‘one-size-fits-all’ logic that so frequently pervades our industry. Working from a studio in East London with specific equipment provided in response to the artist’s needs, residents will be given a custom-designed programme of one-on-one mentoring sessions with industry professionals who will guide them through research and production, and help shape their concluding solo show.
